Recently, CBS’s Sunday Morning news magazine program featured an interview with Billy Idol, the 80s rocker who was nearly destroyed by alcohol and crack cocaine. When asked about his addictions and his sobriety, he said (I’m paraphrasing here), “Don’t tell me what I can’t have. That doesn’t work on me. I can go out right now and get drunk and get high. I’m an adult, and I’ll do as I bloody well please. But, I choose…not…to…do…that. Because I’ll die or be braindead if I do, so I choose to live. And that’s just the way it is.”
So, ask yourself: "What would Billy Idol do?" (heeheehee!)
