95 hours and 50 minutes....

I slept a lot today again but it was definitely less of the exhuasted sleep and more of the "Hey, I can relax!" sleep!  No more stressing about whether I buy another box of cigarettes!  No more cleaning up ashed and yellow ick- although there is still plenty to find in the apartment!

Now my concern is I can smell things!  The main reason I seem to return to smoking is smell!  As a little kid I could smell all kinds of things and usually get really sick as a result and that was before I lived in a crowded city!  Smoking obviously dulled my sense of smell but today I noticed the odors and aromas coming back.  <GAG>!  This is the really difficult part for me.  And no, I don't like the smells of artificial room deodorizers!  I like the smell of the woods.  The smell of balsam, pine trees, the ocean, sweet feed and hay and leather, the scent of grass right after a spring shower......    but definitely not the kinds of scents I'm going to meet up with in the middle of Philadelphia!

But being real, I know picking up a cigarette doesn't immediately remove the odors I may encounter.  I'm BSing myself.  Staying quit will let me afford trips to places with those wonderful odors!  And, I moved to Philly 5 years ago, it may well be time to move on again to a place where I can smell a fireplace and warm bread from the oven.....  All without cigarttes!
