I'm still here and still smoke-free!

I haven't had a whole lot of time in the past few months to come here and post. This is not a bad thing! I've kept myself busy - gone on some trips I probably wouldn't have taken if I still smoked. It's so wonderful to be free and know I can get on a plane and not worry about when I will get to smoke. I am taking a trip to Europe next year and a 12 hour plane ride no longer scares the daylights out of me. I now feel pity for smokers because I know they are in prison and they really don't even know it.

I had a follow-up to blood work Doctor appointment yesterday and I am in great shape!  I have A-Fib and Diverticulosis but these things are very well controlled with my medications. I'm 30-40 pounds overweight but my Doctor doesn't seem to think it's a big deal for me. I feel blessed.

THIS SITE HAS BEEN A HUGE CONTRIBUTOR TO MY CONTINUING FREEDOM. To anyone who is going through their quit journey - you've come to the right place.

My motto has always been "Keep moving forward". It's simple and if you follow that mantra you will find yourself in a new, wonderful, free place with self-pride you never felt before.

To my wonderful friends here - I miss you all and I do come here and read blogs when I can. I'm still here and I still want to be included in future reunions and bonfires. (Please)

Love ya!

Laura
