Two Year Anniversary Awesomeness!

Thank you all SO MUCH for all the well-wishes, train rides, and kudos for my two year smobriety anniversary. You guys are THE BEST!!!

I wanted to tell you what happened IRL, too, for this occasion. Lots of really nice stuff! I've had less done for birthdays!

So, the first thing that happened, I already told you about. The night I came back from my Labor Day camping trip, I had a package waiting for me containing three letters from three lovely ladies who spent some of their precious time together writing me letters and covering them in stickers. On top of that, they included packages of stickers! I mean, I don't know if they KNEW this was going to happen on Two-Year's Eve, but how awesome is this timing.

My "celebration" with my husband was to drink a beer and work on this puzzle we bought to work on together but haven't! He says it's too hard. It's a Despicable Me! puzzle with a ton of minions on it, and it is HARD. Here's a pic:

I always do it by myself while he watches TV, so I told him I wanted us to do it together with no TV, just music, beer and us. It was fun! And today, there was a box waiting for us at home when we returned from the gym, and he said it was my anniversary present. It was two seasons of "Hey Dude" on DVD. Who else remembers this show? I feel so nostalgic when I watch it. It makes me feel young, takes me back to a time when the world was my oyster. Maybe kind of like my stickers do.

So that was incredibly sweet. I had told him on Monday by text message how much I liked it, because I was watching it wth my sister. She had DVRed a bunch of episodes they were showing on Teen Nick with their 90s programming. He said it was supposed to arrive yesterday. What a doll.

Anyway, I love him and you guys all so very much. Thank you again for making me feel so darn special.
