Reprogramming our mind

Our mind is like a computer. Our hardware is functioning good with n problems but could our software been contaminated with a virus? Everything that enters our mind, stores itself, sometimes in hidden files. You might not always see it but it's there.

Our negative thoughts will start spreading and destroying our software, even to the point of effecting our hardware. We might have thoughts, I am not pretty, handsome, nobody likes me, I am not good enough, not talented, I won't accomplish all my dreams. How we program it is the way it's going to function. If you keep thinking bad thoughts, you will never have the confidence to step into your destiny. If you think you can't break the addiction, you won't. If you think you have reached your limits, then you have. It's not that you can't go further, it's just that you have convinced yourself that you can't. It's the thoughts that are keeping you from your destiny (freedom).

It's not too late, you can start cleaning out the viruses (negatives). You have greatness in you!!! It's time to start reprogramming your software. It's time to guard your mind. Don't dwell on the negative thoughts, start hitting that delete button. For every negative, replace it with a positive. My best days are ahead of me. I will be successful, i am pretty/handsome, I can accomplish anything that I put my mind to, I will quit smoking/drinking. Start learning to use that delete button today, so that you can reach your highest potential!

About the Author
I am 51 yrs old and live in the Greater Cleveland area. I started smoking at a young age. I think it was more peer pressure at that time and just a few cigarettes a day until i became "LEGAL" to smoke. I then started smoking a pack or more a day, using stress as my excuse to smoke more. In reality, I realized after i quit smoking that there is no excuses for smoking. I am approaching 4 yrs next month, but I still have to work to protect my quit. I am here on Ex faithfully helping others and in return helps me. We call it here on Ex "Collateral Kindness" here is a link to my blog, 1 yr later that explained my trials in the the beginning of my quit. https://excommunity.becomeanex.org/blogs/ShawnP-blog/2013/03/14/one-year-later
