Talent - a big distraction....

One thing that i have done since i was a toddler is art - mainly drawing and painting.  I have not been using my talent or gift for at least 2 years.  I was out of ideas and took a break so that i could do the most important thing and that is to stop smoking.

Now, i am feeling the urge to draw big time!  I mean, my passion for it is back!  So far this week i have finished two major drawings and i am just getting started.  And you know, when i am drawing, i am not worried about anything,  It is so relaxing and like i said, it is a big distraction away from smoking or even thoughts of smoking.  I am so glad to be quit but sometimes i feel left out around here because my Hubby smokes still;  in turn it sometimes makes me want to smoke but i always quickly remember how hard it was to quit and i correct that kind of thinking instantly and turn the thoughts over to God.

This Easter will be special to me because it will be the return of my passion for using my talent , given to me by Jesus.  I thank Him because He has helped me find a peice of myself that i thought i had lost forever - my talent and skills.

Love, Lisa
