Tips for reducing Cravings

Hi, Friends!  I don't know if you are still having cravings but i thought i would blog a little for any new Ex-ers we have in the community.

One thing that will help reduce cravings is WATER.........i know you have heard that before, but take it to heart because water lessens the desire to smoke and helps the body forget the euphoria it experienced with nicotine.

Nutritious snacks like fruits and veggies help to reduce cravings too.  And raw veggies give an added crunch giving your mouth and hands something fun to do.  Fruits are great too, not just to eat but for your hands to keep busy - you will think less about smoking while peeling and smelling a sweet orange!  And some quitters feel more secure when they have a big bowl of fruit sitting in there room or living area.

Now, i have also read that nuts and sunflower seeds really help to reduce cravings too.  Eat them in moderation because you don't want to get too many vitamins and antipxidents at once.

These are just a few tips that i have found in my research on reducing cravings;  i hope they help you!

-Love, Lisa
