I haven't posted a whole lot lately.  I do check out the blogs when I can and I see many new members and welcome each and every one of you!

It seems like as soon as life starts to settle down, something else drops a hammer on us. Al is still dealing with seizures and I am still dealing with A-fib issues. It seems like we take turns having to go to the Doctor or hospital. The ambulance company probably knows our address by heart!! We both are still dealing with finishing up my Uncle's estate after he passed. I have to admit there have been fleeting thoughts about smoking.

I will not smoke.  I'm on day 407 (I think) and Al will have quit for one year on April 1 and I am so proud of him for sticking with it. He's had a more difficult time of it than I have.

To anyone who is saying to themselves "I have way too much stress going on to quit right now" - All I can say is that's just a cop-out (to use a hippie term). Many of the folks here can tell you that my life has been raked over the coals in the past year. It seems like the nicodemon is doing his best to drag us back in by throwing "life" at us.

Not gonna happen Mr. Nicodemon. No matter what you throw at us - we are free of you and your nasty addiction!

By the way - in the process we have also been given the blessings of many new friends, the feeling of freedom from nicotine slavery, a stronger-than-ever relationship and many more good things.

New members - I encourage you to read past blogs of those of us who have been here awhile and started our journies here. I know you will "see" yourself in many many of them.

Thank you EX family!  I love all of you!

Laura
