58 days - Things are getting tense

Hi folks,

I think I mentioned my financial troubles. Well, they just took a turn. I'm going to have to move - again. This means breaking my one-year lease with the apartment I'm currently in, which will cost me more money, HOWEVER, the plan is to save a boatload of money once the move is complete. So there are good things on the horizon.

This all started when I took a job teaching at the local community college and moved down from Flagstaff, AZ to Glendale to do that. What I didn't know was that they weren't going to have any classes for me to teach in the Spring semester, which is why I'm so broake now. They failed to mention that when I took the job.

Originally, my old roommate suggested that rather than move to Glendale, I should move with him to Oro Valley (which is just north of Tucson), live there and commute to the college JUST IN CASE the job didn't work out. Well, I passed on that suggestion, so sure was I that I would have steady employment at the college. HA!

Anyway, since we are BOTH in financial straighjackets right now, he again suggests that I move down there to save money. It is really the only viable option I have as I'm going more and more into debt as it is right now. Just try living on your own with a part-time job. Can't be done.

Nevertheless, the tension has risen around here. I'm not exactly having urges to smoke, but the thoughts linger in the back of my mind like some creature ready to pounce. I'm fighting them off, promising myself little favors if I just don't smoke. I'm still on the patches, too.

Here's to a brighter future!

Keep the Quit!
