Wasn't so bad...

Tonight my sister and I went to visit my Mom (because she suffered a major stroke 7 years ago she needs to be in a senior citizen assisted living facility) and had dinner with her.  After we ate I of course had to think about that "after dinner smoke", but quickly changed thoughts.

After we ate we went and sat by the fountain in the courtyard to visit some more, and it was really nice. I talked to my sister some more about (me) not smoking (I've talked to her on the phone...this is the first I have seen her since I quit). She's now thinking she will quit soon...around my nephew's birthday which is next month! Yea! We left at the same time...and I was afraid to walk out with her, but figured I might as well face my fear. We were still talking when we reached our cars, and I knew she was itching for a cigarette (she mentioned it earlier) and asked if it would bother me if she lit up (this was the first time since I quit that I would actually be next to someone while they smoked) and I said no. She lit up...and it didn't bother me! I wasn't craving one, and didn't even have the desire. I did tell her it smelled...but not super bad.

So that was one thing down that I was fearing...being next to a smoker and actually smelling the smoke. Today again it was just a couple thoughts and not much more.

Day 11 and still smoke free, and looking forward to a smoke free tomorrow!
