So very true and powerful, Storm.  Nothing about smoking is worth the damage it causes, NOTHING.

If you’re truly sick of smoking, and you’re aching to leave that addiction behind, and you swore you would quit cigarettes, then…walk…away. Turn your back on that...

Still Happy

As I look back on everything, I am oh so very happy I quit smoking!  I cannot say enough about my new freedom!  At the beginning, I would have never thought this was possible.  I am now at day 185 of my quit!  I have a craving every once in a while, but it takes like literally 10 seconds to laugh and realize I don't do that any more and I just keep on with whatever I am doing.  I seem to get the crave whenever I am doing something I always did while smoking.  It's funny now to see how I was such a slave to my addiction.  I just hope everyone who has quit just stays with it.  I know I would have never gotten this far if it was not for the help of Dale, Joy, and Thomas who helped me so very much on this journey.  I also appreciate others from this site who helped me too.  I still read the blogs as a reminder of where I was and where I am going.  I will also continue to blog and comment.

Once again, thanks to all for this wonderful freedom!

Congrat's Linda...It is so nice to hear success stories!!  I know what you mean.  I was coming out of Wal-mart and for a brief second, thought "time to light up"..I would the second I got in the car.  And the 1st thing that came to my mind after that was "freedom"!!

Thank you dear Linda! We are going through our first year with seasonal triggers...I feel just like you do...It takes but a moment to laugh off that smoking thought. SO happy for you! xo

Big congrats Linda and good to hear from you! I'm just a few days in front of you and m enjoying my freedom as well. Like you, the "first" time craves get me! First time I went to the outdoor concert, first time we went to the beach, etcetera! They pass quickly and I smile!

let's keep smiling all the way to one full year and hopefully we ill be past most of the "firsts"! WTG
