My first group blog also, questions about Houston doctors treatments
I have a tumor in the right lobe of my lung. Since your on a cancer survivors blog I was wondering if any of you had heard of these doctors and if so what are you hearing or have experienced. First Dr. Stanislaw Burzynski and the MD Anderson team. Thanks for your feedback. Candace
I live right outside Houston now but have lived in Houston for quite some time. MD Anderson Team is good. I know of Dr.Burzynski but what I know isn't much. I do know someone under his care that didn't make it though she was incurable. I know he treats what is called non treatable. If it were me I would try MD Anderson first.
We dealt with MD Anderson for my husband's cancer and they were wonderful. I believe Dr Burzynski specializes in mostly brain cancer, but not sure. I say go with MD Anderson!!
Also Cancer Treatment centers of America. I use to work there as a nurse (smoking of course) but they are very patient oriented and are not afraid to use the newest treatment. There are several of them around the country. Both MD Anderson and CTCA are much better than community hospitals where nurses have twice as many patients.
