This is a legitimate ad for folks who want to help keep our wonderful Freedom Train on the tracks. I am going to be stepping aside due to health issues. There are a few slots open Graphics is not an issue. We can teach you how to do that. Other training will be provided once selections are made! This is a great opportunity to be a part of something bigger than yourself!
Newcomer records – this person will work behind the scenes by scanning the daily blogs and their comments for new members and compiling a monthly list. The list will then go to the master milestone keeper who combines those newbies with all existing Exers. Time willing, the list will be verified prior to passing it over to make sure the new person is still on site and active. You might also find a name you don't recognize on one of your friends message boards. Follow up all leads to get the most accurate list possible.
If you are a person who enjoys reading the blogs everyday and want to be a part of the wonderful machine of The Freedom Train, then by all means please let us know of your interest. We are looking for someone who can commit to this responsibility over the long haul so please bear that in mind. From my own personal experience this task can be very rewarding. You have the opportunity to introduce yourself to the newcomer and might even make them your friend going forward! You also will be on the look out for those people who, sadly, have relapsed. Then later you can delight at seeing that they have started again. Be one of the first to congratulate them or not as your time allows. The most important part of this particular job is to accurately record all newcomers and their quit dates, if known. Sometimes you do have to play detective to find that date or you may have to come right out and ask them. Feel free to contact me (Maggie) or Marcie with any questions about this particular job.
Master Milestone Keeper – This person keeps a complete record of all Ex member's known quit dates. This means keeping it up to date and current by adding and subtracting as indicated by the Newcomer Records staff plus any other identified changes.
Then each week, at the beginning of the week the Master Quit Keeper prepares a list of people's upcoming major milestones as outlined in the 'rules.' This list must be verified prior to dissemination to the rest of the team. This position is also a Conductor!
Milestone Verifier/Conductor – this position is somewhat flexible in that the person helps to verify the weekly milestones as mentioned above plus will act as a Conductor. What an exciting position! Verifying involves visiting each Exer's page to check that they are currently active and that our dates line up with theirs, should they have a clock. Time permitting it is a lovely gesture to leave a note to let the person know they will be honored and what date and for how many days. Of course you will only do that if you are certain they are active. More training will be provided with this position, to include the Conductor's rules and regulations!
