I AM SORING ON WINGS LIKE EAGELS

Been doing real good!  My one year mark of quitting smoking is in a couple of months and in 5 days it will be the longest I have ever quit smoking.  I smoked for 36 years and tried to quit for 10 years.  I told my doctor about 2 years ago that I was never going to quit smoking cause after 9 years of trying to quit I knew it was hopless.  Then I was reading a Discovery Health news article and on the side was an advertizement that said "Want to quit smoking".  I decided to check it out and I was brought to this site and the rest is history.  11 month a non smoker is just a round the corner and I am very happy.  It has not been easy for me.  I almost smoked a couple of months ago but my husband talked me out of it.  What changed me is that I keep remembering that  "I CHOOSE TO QUIT AND I DID NOT GIVE UP SMOKING.  I AM GAINING MY LIFE BACK - I GAINED MY LIFE BACK.  I CAN BREATH AND MY GRANDKIDS CAN BREATH AROUND ME!"  THAT IS THE SECRET TO KNOW THAT YOU ARE GAINING NOT LOSING BY QUITTING!!!   My husband still smokes right next to me and I just don't pay any attention to it any more.  If I can keep doing this then anyone can quit smoking!  By the grace of God I found this site so I pray that  each one that stays here and helps all that come here that God will give you a special blessing because you are all JEWELS to me!  I have my motto on my desk and in my bible that I got from someone in this community....

"IF I HAVE JUST ONE, I WILL BE BACK TO WHERE I STARTED.  WHERE I STARTED WAS WISHING I WAS WHERE I AM TODAY...   FREE!

but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
Isaiah 40:30-31

I was on the Ex community for a couple of years and got extremely busy and was unable to get on the community. I came back to see how others were doing and missed being here. I'm married, I have 3 grown children, 4 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter and 1 on the way, and 3 soon to be step grand sons. I love to go to church and love to read my bible.
