The question is, What is July 18, 2011 to April 18, 2012?

And the answer is 9 WAY BIG SMOKE-FREE MONTHS TODAY!!!  3/4 of a year...making my way to my short-term goal of 1 year.  The longer-term goal is forever, of course!!!

Newbies, it really, truly doesn't get any better than this! If anyone had asked me, my children, my siblings or anyone who knew me very well at all if they thought I'd ever quit, the answer would have been "NO WAY".  You've heard it before but I'll say it again...if I can do it after 40 plus years, so can you!  You might be special or unique in your own little world, but in the smoking world you're just another addict like the rest of us.  A positive attitude, a strong desire to change, education about your addiction and this site are all you need...that's not much, right?  Not when it's your life we're talking about!

Elders, NMLers and In-betweeners, there aren't enough ways to express my appreciation for all you've done for me and for all you do day in and day out for everyone here.  I'd like to be a little more involved but, as you can tell, I start keying and I can't shut up : )   I'll have to work on that because I do want to pay it forward and I can't think of a better way than to influence just one more person to give up that life stealing  drug...nicotine.

Take good care all!  Joy
