Boy did I wake up on the wrong side of the bed today. I got up and ran some errands and was very cranky and indecisive about what else I needed to do. Wound up concluding that I was trying to pack too much into my day before a long shift at work and took a nap, which helped a lot.

Work was a little hard, I'm a bartender and used to take smoke breaks all the time in between customers when it wasn't busy. I was a little on edge but kept using lozenges and gum consistently, drinking water, breathing deeply. A drunk regular tried to pick an argument with me right before my dinner break about whether or not she had paid for her drink (she hadn't) and I got very flustered and angry but didn't blow up too badly and didn't smoke. So on my break, at 9:00 at night in the dark and rain, I put on my gym clothes and went for a jog to try to reset my mood. I got soaked but it worked! It felt good to be able to breathe, good to get away from the stress of work for a few minutes, and it felt good to just move. The rest of the night was busy but my attitude was much better and I got through another day smoke free.
