157 days and counting!

Came by to say Hi and I always have to look to see how long I have been smoke free - 157 days!  I've been here before cause I've quit for 11 months.  157 days is over 5 months so it still hasn't been no picnic.  Now that I am thinking about smoking it makes me want one but I wouldn't smoke for any reason.  I really don't think about it any more even though my husband smokes next to me every single day.  Life with out those nasty cigarettes has been a real blessing in my life and I will never go back to even one puff.  Hugs to all my friends in the EX community and "hello" to all the newbies.  To all the new people trying to quit I want to say once you get past the first couple of months it's pretty easy.  Throw the cigs away and be glad for all the withdrawals cause the bad things are coming out and the good things are going in.  Get you a count down clock and keep track every day until you forget how long it is.  Don't be surprised if the bug comes around and says "I need to smoke".  This could happen at anytime, just don't give in - That's the secret "don't give in"!  Instead of smoking try having a party in your head to tell you that you made it one more minute - one more minute of freedom!

I was on the Ex community for a couple of years and got extremely busy and was unable to get on the community. I came back to see how others were doing and missed being here. I'm married, I have 3 grown children, 4 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter and 1 on the way, and 3 soon to be step grand sons. I love to go to church and love to read my bible.
