Leaving on a jet plane...............

I was so moved by Michelle's post this morning. Here's she's just run up a ton of steps in some kind of race, after making a fabulous quit, but she can't sleep because of stressing over her teenage son.

George, Julia, Budman, and Laurie all commented to lament over their teenagers, too. I can't even convey in words what my youngest put me through with his drinking, drugs, etc.....

Here's the funny thing.....about ten years later, I asked him what caused him to just go off the rails like that.

He looked me straight in the eyes and said, "Mom, I just don't know."

Perhaps. Perhaps he just didn't want to tell me. But I do know this: our children, bless their pointed little heads, can cause us the worst grief we've ever endured.

So, guess what? I'm going to visit my son on Friday. Perhaps my other one, too, we don't know this yet.

But I will get to be with my grandchildren so it's all worth it, it's all good and there's nothing I'm going to smoke over!!

But, please pray for me that I can remain calm, poised and not self-centered.

I'll be gone for several days but since son works for Microsoft, there's no shortage of computers up there. Fly out on Friday, am so jammed tomorrow, don't know if I'll get on here.

Will certainly keep all of you in my thoughts! I just ADORE my quit family.

OH! And thanks for the compliments about the visuals......this is all due to MAGGIE who spent time teaching me, bless her heart and I've gone a little nuts with it!!!
