I don't like cold weather. I'll go so far as to say I HATE cold weather. I was born and raised in Florida and never left because of my intolerance to cold. Hell I don't even like cold water-we have a pool but you won't find me in it until the water temp is at least 80! LOL
That being said and being the terminal optimist I am, I've found a few positive things regarding cold weather, thanks to being an Ex smoker.
My husband no longer refers to my feet as "those @#$% blocks of ice". Yes people when you quit smoking your circulation improves so you get more blood flowing to those tootsies!
I don't have to put on like 6 layers of clothes to go out on the porch for a smoke. Teehee I have a hard time not gloating when talking on phone to my friend who still smokes and I can hear her teeth chattering so I know she's out on her porch smoking..and freezing! *sighs* Tsk-tsk...
No cold draft in my car cos I'm smoking and have a window open.
I have asthma and the cold air makes it worse but this winter, not smoking-I have less issues with wheezing.
Tomorrow I have my annual check-up/exam and I can't wait to brag about almost 1 year quit! who would have thought I'd look forward to a doctor visit?
Life w/o cigarettes is wonderful and amazing and this can be your life if you make the decision and honor it! YOU CAN DO THIS!
