to all checking in on me. I most likely won't count days anymore like I did for my first year,, Ah you caught that,, I intend for many years,,,,  but,,,,,,,,,,,HA!! It's 371 days Nicotine /Smokefree.

I will however, after much thought and consideration, continue to occasionally tell of my "Happy" quit on the oustside chance it reaches someone.

I made a decision to stop blaming others and being miserable, for, in, and with my life a while before I quit smoking, altho I remember thinking,, "Maybe when I let go of some of this crap and bitterness, I'll be able to quit smoking." Then about 6 months into that thought process, I did it, I said I would quit and I did, I found this site about 2 weeks before I quit and it was great, usually these days smoking conversations are outside and in regard to "US" vs "THEM". Then I took 3 weeks worth of Chantix ( on a full stomach) not at one time! HA! then when that was gone I saw it coming and insurance didn't cover mine so I just quit and took no more,, It's Non-Nicotine by the way, I am funny about that altho I know NRT has helped countless people, I just kept thinking ,,"Well,, they don't make an Alcohol patch for Alcoholics so oooo,,, I'll not try that again, fight the drug with the drug,, anywho , it's up to the individual, I tried them years ago when they first came out,, no good for me.

Then I read Allen Carrs book 'The Eay Way To Quit" blowing all the old theories out of the water,, that it is hard and people who have been quit 10 years still crave as bad as the first day etc,, gotta read it with an open mind,,as a small child who knows nothing and really open, open mindedness,  and  BAM!!! I got it!!

Been happy quit ever since,, been happy in life since before that,,, all BY Choice. I occasionally as evidenced by my recent behavior, let people alter my thinking and feelings by letting them get control, but not very often , the trick there is to take time to mull it over before you react, right or wrong.

Peace to all,, Quit over a year now after 2 packs a day for 36 years.
