6 Months!!!!

Well, I've said it before and I'll say it again - I can't quite believe this!! I quit smoking 6 months ago after smoking at least a pack a day for 40 years! I am another one of those "happy quitters" like James! In part because I always read James' blogs - and in part because of how I prepared for my quit! The three things I did to prepare:

1. Came here to this site and read lots of blogs and met so many wonderful people! The people here are what led to me believing I could do this! Thank you, thank you!!!

2. Read Allen Carr's Book - "The Easy Way to Stop Smoking" based on recommendations I saw here.

3. Read all 10 modules (and took notes!!) on http://quitsmokingonline.com.

Some folks don't like the word "Easy". However, relative to how impossible I THOUGHT it was going to be to quit (otherwise why would I have waited so darn long!!) - "Easy" actually makes some sense!

Tonight to celebrate (although the timing of getting the tickets for today's date was coincidence!) - I am going to see my favorite "White Christmas"! (It is the movie as a stage show." That put me in the mood to change a few lyrics of some Christmas carols:

I'm Dreaming of a Smoke-Free Christmas

All I Want for Christmas is to be Smoke-Free

Walking In a Smoke-Free Wonderland

Have Yourself a Smoke-Free Little Christmas

Rudolph the Smoke-Free Reindeer

Any others?

Take care!
