Remember when I first was trying quit I said that one of the reasons that gave me that extra kick to quit was my youngest saying she was going to smoke when she grew up. Well guess what the little brat no the angel told me awhile back. She said "Momma I am sorry I lied to you." thru tears. I asked "when did you lie to me Fay Fay ( that is her nickname)? while I was hugging her. She said "When I told you I was going to smoke like you were." I giggled and said " Baby this is the one time I say Thank you for telling me a lie. You gave me the extra kick I needed to say Bye to cigs." She said "But momma you say that the only person that likes lies is the devil." I said " I know baby. It isn't good to lie. But this time it scared momma to think of her baby smoking and I dont' want you to take up that nasty addiction." She said " I didn't want you to die from smoking mommy I love you" Now I am crying with her. I asked her "who told you to say that to me or did you come up with it?" She siad "our teacher told us that if our parents smoke it would take something big to make them quit. And I know you mommy you don't want us to ever smoke you have told us that a thousand times So me and SIssy (my oldest's nickname) talked and we decided I would say that to you the next time you smoked." Now she is laughing and I am crying cause my girls do listen to me and cause they do they were able to come with something to give me a swift kick in the butt to quit. Kids they remember what we say and use it againist us. But this is one time I am so glad they did. When I celebrate my quit we celebrate them too cause if my girls wouldn't of came up with that plan. I am sure I would still be smoking cause not smoking just for me isn't a big deal to me. They had to make it about them and I will do anything for my girls.
