Been doing real good!  My one year mark of quitting smoking is in a couple of months and in 5 days it will be the longest I have ever quit smoking.  I smoked for 36 years and tried to quit for 10 years.  I told my doctor about 2 years ago that I was never going to quit smoking cause after 9 years of trying to quit I knew it was hopless.  Then I was reading a Discovery Health news article and on the side was an advertizement that said "Want to quit smoking".  I... January 4, 2012

I stopped by to say - "Smoke free for 6 whole months on my Birthday"!  This is a great birthday present to myself!  To all the people trying to quit - "You can do it - you can be smoke free on your birthday too!  Give yourself a present.  When you think about having that smoke as you are going through withdrawal just remember you are giving yourself a present by remaining smoke free!  My motto:

157 days and counting!

December 9, 2011

Came by to say Hi and I always have to look to see how long I have been smoke free - 157 days!  I've been here before cause I've quit for 11 months.  157 days is over 5 months so it still hasn't been no picnic.  Now that I am thinking about smoking it makes me want one but I wouldn't smoke for any reason.  I really don't think about it any more even though my husband smokes next to me every single day.  Life with out those nasty cigarettes has been a... Sharing a laugh at 132 smoke free days!

November 14, 2011

132 smoke free days, that's about 4 and a quarter months.  I am amazed.  I had to go to a conference last week for my work in San Antonio Texas.  I took my husband and after the conference we visited his brother and sister-in-law in Eastland Texas.  My brother-in-law has been smoke free for 4 years and my sister-in-law for 2 years.  I was happy about that cause no one smoked in the house which made it easy for me.  The drive there and back was not so hard with... I had a couple of minutes this morning to share some information.  I am doing well at 106 days smoke free!  I have been very busy at work with very large stress levels.  Stress has always been my excuse for smoking but not this time.  The EX community gave me the tools to get this far and I know I will continue in my quit.  To all the newbies I would like to tell you what helped me.  I read the following on line... 78 Days!

September 21, 2011

Trying to make some time to come to my favorite place to say Hi!  78 days today, I am amazed!  Time just slips away when you're busy with life and work.  I was walking into work the other day and carrying a bunch of stuff and I though - "If I was smoking I wouldn't be able to carry all this stuff because I would be holding a cigarette and needing to puff away."   Another evening last week I was in my living room and watching TV with my husbund and he...
