Good morning all. A funny thing happened this morning. I was up and "at "em at 6:00 a.m. and headed out to the street with dustpan and broom to sweep up the late night fireworks leftovers. It is steamy in Missouri, even at that hour! The funny thing is that I did not have to stop what I was doing to rest, catch my breath or light up a cigarette while I "rested"!! I think I am finally beginning to feel the benefits of the additional oxygen in my bloodstream! Yikes! Although I have been finding it much easier to breathe since I quit I was beginning to wonder if I had smoke too long to reap any benefits beyond that (51 years is a LONG time to smoke! ;0(__) I guess not!!!!! ;-)

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE, HOPE EVERYBODY HAD A WONDERFUL DAY YESTERDAY. WE ARE STILL SMOKE FREE AND PLAN ON STAYING THAT WAY TODAY AND EVERYDAY AT LEAST FOR THIS MONTH AND THEN I'LL SEE HOW I FEEL. I'M STARTING TO GET MY SENCES BACK. FOR ONE I CAN SMELE THE FOODS THAT I COOK NOW AND BEFORE I COULD'NT. I'M ALSO BEING ABLE TO TASTE THEM TOO SO THESE ARE JUST SOME OF THE REASONS I'M STAYING AROUND THIS TIME.

JUST THOUGHT THAT I'D CHECK IN AND WISH EVERYONE A SAFE AND HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY. GOING TO STAY HOME AND LIGHT OFF THE FIRE WORKS THIS EVENING WITH A NEIGHBOR OF OURS. SHE STILL SMOKES SO I'M GOING TO ASK HER NOT TO SMOKE AROUND US THIS EVENING SO THAT I DON'T GET TEMPTED. I FEEL GOOD TODAY SO THIS SHOULD BE A GREAT DAY FOR US.

Hi sounds likes every one is hanging in there first week is tough. but i will make it. I had foot surgery so i can't walk to good. so when i want a cigg. i find something else to do.good luck to all

Hi everyone. I'm in the middle of day 10 and for some reason yesterday and today have been very hard. I can deal with the 'wanting to smoke'. (See rubber band marks on left wrist!) But the last few days, I've had cravings to where my brain is telling me that smoking is no big deal - why not return to it for a little while? I want to be a non-smoker. I want to be a non-smoker. I want to be a non-smoker. Whew. I guess I'll keep hanging on. People that have quits longer than I do say it gets easier. So I'll trust that they're telling me the truth.
